Advanced Ceramics and Sculpture is designed to give the serious student interested in 3-dimensional art forms the opportunity to explore, in depth, areas of special interest not offered in the regular art curricular. Students may concentrate in such areas as: portfolio preparation, stone, clay, plaster, mixed media, etc. Students in consultation with instructor, choose to focus on a particular area of study each quarter. They have the option to explore four different units or to concentrate in one area for the entire semester. In addition to class assignments and the creation or a power point presentation, students will be required to keep a sketch book/journal for the entire year. This course may be taken more than once for credit for approval.
